UOL Group H1 net profit rises 23% to $252.2m on fair value gains

Operating PATMI grows 16% whilst revenue declines 7% to $1.44b.

UOL Group Limited’s net attributable profit after tax and minority interests (PATMI) rose 23% year-on-year to $252.2m in the first half (H1) of 2026.

The increase was due to attributable fair value and other gains of $12.4m recognised, compared with a $1m loss in the same period last year, the group said in a bourse filing.

Operating PATMI increased 16% to $239.8m, on the back of stronger contributions from property development and property investments.

However, revenue declined 7% to $1.44b in H1, mainly due to lower property development revenue as the group undertook more projects through joint ventures, including PARKTOWN Residence and Skye at Holland in Singapore.

Property development revenue fell 14% to $628.8m, whilst property investment revenue grew 4% to $316.7m.

UOL is scheduled to launch Thomson Reserve in the fourth quarter of 2026. It is also set to open the first NoMad hotel in Asia Pacific along Orchard Road later this year.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
