Bank Julius Baer appoints Peter Siber as Chief Risk Officer Asia and Middle East

The appointment is in line with the Bank's commitment to grow Asia as its second home market.

According to Bank Julius Baer, Peter Siber is also a Member of the Executive Committee Asia & Middle East and Head of the Risk Committee Singapore. His appointment and his 20 years’ experience in risk management underpin the Bank’s long-standing reputation as a strong, stable and secure private bank. Peter is based in Singapore. He reports to Dr Meier regionally and functionally to Bernhard Hodler, Group Chief Risk Officer and Member of the Executive Board. Peter was previously Head Credit Advisory & Structuring and Deputy Group Head of Credit at the Bank’s Zurich headquarters.

“Risk management is one of the key functions in our overall advisory service delivery to clients. With Peter Siber’s extensive experience, we will further enhance our platform and strengthen our management team in the region,” said Dr Thomas R. Meier, CEO Asia & Middle East, and Member of the Executive Board.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
