IFS Capital signs $79m loan securitisation to fund MSME lending
The loans are backed by Singapore real estate and sold to a special purpose vehicle.
IFS Capital Limited has signed the $79m inaugural loan securitisation programme to redeploy capital into new micro, small and mid-sized enterprises (MSME) lending.
The transaction was backed by a portfolio of MSME loans secured by Singapore real estate, whilst DBS Bank Ltd acted as the sole arranger, the group said.
As part of the deal, a defined pool of loans from IFS Capital's existing MSME loan portfolio will be sold to a special purpose vehicle, which will fund the purchase through the issuance of senior, mezzanine, and subordinated notes.
IFS Capital said it will retain the mezzanine and subordinated notes, which have a four-year tenor. The group will continue to service the loans and maintain its existing relationships with borrowers.
CapitaLand Investment is subscribing for the full senior notes, which provide regular income over the investment period.
The financial close is expected to be in October 2026, the group said.
