Quadria Capital acquires minority stake in Hermina Hospitals

The amount of the investment was undisclosed.

Singapore-based healthcare investment firm Quadria Capital announced its successful investment in Indonesian hospital group PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk, marking Quadria Capital's third investment from its fourth investment vehicle Quadria Capital Fund II L.P.

Hermina was founded in 1985 as a single maternity hospital with seven inpatient beds. Over the last 35 years, Hermina has grown into the leading hospital group in Indonesia with presence in 26 cities through a robust mix of organic, green field, and acquisition-driven expansion. Hermina hospitals serve over six million outpatients and 375,000 inpatient admissions annually, supported by an extensive network of over 3,800 doctors and specialists.

“We are impressed by the vision of Hermina’s founders as pioneers of affordable private healthcare in Indonesia; we are even more impressed by their ability to realise that vision at significant scale. We are excited to work alongside the founders and a stellar management team to transform Hermina into a leading tertiary care provider in the region,” said Quadria Capital’s managing partner and co-founder Abrar Mir.

Quadria Capital is an independent healthcare focussed private equity firm with assets under management exceeding US$2b and investments in 22 companies across the Asia-Pacific region.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
