Monthly income of polytechnic graduates increases to $2,900 in 2024

More than eight in 10 graduates were employed within six months of graduation.

The median gross monthly salary of polytechnic graduates in full-time employment increased to $2,900 from $2,800 in 2024, according to the Polytechnic Graduate Employment Survey.

The median gross monthly salary of graduates from Health Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Information and Digital Technologies were the highest amongst all programs.

The survey also found that 87.5% of graduates were employed within six months of graduation or after completing full-time National Service, despite slower employment growth last year.

Additionally, 54.6% of 5,769 graduates were in full-time permanent employment, 27% were in part‐time employment, and 2.9% had either accepted a job offer or were actively starting a business venture.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
