#WomensMonth: Do female employees get enough opportunities at work?

Three in 10 feel they have to work harder to achieve their goals.

Whilst Singapore has made strides in achieving workplace equality, several women (33%) still experience challenges during their careers due to their gender.

According to a survey by Milieu Insight, over three in 10 (39%) female workers also feel that they have to work harder to achieve their goals because of their gender.

Despite being heard, only half of the female employees surveyed said that companies act on the feedback they give.

In terms of remuneration and resources, women see a sense of fairness.

According to the study, 67% feel fairly remunerated for their work, and 51% feel fairly rewarded for going above and beyond.

Meanwhile, most employees (79%) also feel equipped with the resources they need to finish their tasks within working hours.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
