Sales software firm Novocall bags $700,000 in seed funding round

It will use the money to expand to Indonesia and Thailand.

Sales automation startup Novocall has raised $700,000 in a seed funding round led by 500 Durians, the Southeast Asia arm of US-based venture firm 500 Startups, according to a news release.

The investment will fund the company’s expansion to Indonesia and Thailand.

Co-investors include 500 Startups Thailand, Expara Asia Ventures, and the CEO of web hosting company Exabytes.

Through sales and marketing software, Novocall helps companies improve lead response time, increase website conversions, and provide analytics for marketing teams.

Novocall is also a recipient of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB)'s Business Innovation Fund and was previously granted $30,000 by Enterprise Singapore’s SG Founder Grant and Singapore Management University’s (SMU) Business Innovation Generator.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
