Tech sector logs four July deals; Kling AI tops funding with $2.8b

The tech sector completed four acquisitions in July 2026, with no initial public offerings (IPOs) or unicorns, according to Tracxn.
Acquisition activity held steady from July 2025, though that month also saw one IPO. June 2026, by comparison, recorded three acquisitions and no IPOs.
Late-stage funding accounted for 70.9% of the sector's overall funding in July 2026, whilst early-stage funding stood at 28.5% and seed-stage funding at 0.7%.
Kling AI topped July's funding rounds, raising $2.8b—more than half of the monthly funding total.
It was followed by Ant International ($1.2b), CRYPTO ($400m), PixVerse ($139m), and dConstruct Robotics ($125m).
Alibaba was the month's top overall investor, capturing two deals, followed by Citadel Securities and Baidu, which sealed one deal each.
