SBF unveils new index for enterprise readiness

The index covers areas such as business performance and international growth.

The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) has launched a new index that allows enterprises to assess their future readiness across six areas.

The Future Ready Business Index covers business performance, international growth, technology, talent, sustainability, and social impact.

After the assessment, enterprises will be connected with advisors, programmes, and ecosystem partners to address identified gaps.

SBF said firms can access support in areas including business transformation, finance, internationalisation, enterprise development, and professional services.

The index was developed by SBF with Boston Consulting Group, in partnership with DBS Bank, Enterprise Singapore, and RSM Singapore.

Its launch was officiated by Senior Minister of State Low Yen Ling, Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, at the inaugural Future Ready Business in Action 2026.

The wider ‘Future Ready Business’ platform also includes four offerings —  closed-door discussions between business leaders and policymakers, company visits, targeted clinics, and workshops,

It also features a marketplace linking firms with solution providers.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
