Singapore captures 82.5% of blockchain funding in Southeast Asia

The city-state hosts 2,285 of the 3,957 blockchain companies tracked by Tracxn.

Singapore accounted for 82.5% of all-time blockchain equity funding tracked across Southeast Asia, according to a report by private-market data platform Tracxn.

The city-state was also home to 2,285 of the 3,957 blockchain companies identified in the region, representing approximately 58% of the total.

The figures place Singapore well ahead of the other blockchain hubs covered by Tracxn and show that regional capital and company formation remain heavily concentrated in the city-state.

Singapore’s ecosystem includes businesses operating across crypto financial services, digital-asset platforms, blockchain networks and decentralised-application development.

Tracxn also identified SBI Group’s acquisition of Singapore-based cryptocurrency platform CoinHako as one of the region’s notable blockchain transactions in 2026.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
