Singtel launches cybersecurity programme for SMEs

This includes workshops and learning materials to improve cyber awareness.

Singtel, together with Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), has launched the Singtel Cyber Protect Programme to strengthen the cybersecurity of Singapore’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The programme was announced by Senior Minister of State for Digital Development and Information, Tan Kiat How, at SMEs Go Digital Day 2025, supporting the Digital Enterprise Blueprint.

A 2023 Cyber Security Agency study found that over 40% of companies face cyber incidents multiple times a year, with 5% attacked several times daily. SMEs are particularly vulnerable, with three in five ransomware attacks targeting them.

The Singtel Cyber Protect Programme will help SMEs identify risks, adopt better cyber hygiene, and improve overall security. It aims to strengthen Singapore’s digital economy by enabling SMEs to innovate, scale securely, and upskill staff.

The two-year programme provides 49,000 SMEs with 12 months of free Mobile Protect and Broadband Security services. Mobile Protect offers AI-driven mobile security for up to five lines per SME, whilst Broadband Security safeguards broadband users and connected smart devices, with one sign-up allowed per business.

The programme also includes three-hour cybersecurity workshops and access to educational resources.

The first year of the programme is fully subsidised, and SMEs can receive up to 50% off renewals in the second year.

SMEs can register from 1 November 2025 via the Singtel Cyber Protect Programme website or IMDA’s CTO-as-a-Service platform.

Eligible businesses must be incorporated in Singapore, at least 30% locally owned, and have annual sales under $100m or fewer than 200 employees.

With 95% of SMEs already using digital solutions, Singtel’s programme helps close the cybersecurity gap, ensuring smaller businesses are protected in an increasingly digital economy.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
