ASL Marine Holdings recorded a profit after tax of $2.08m for the financial period ended 31 December 2024 (H1 FY2025), up 25.4% year-on-year, according to a bourse filing.

The group’s revenue decreased by 3.7% to $172.2m as compared to the corresponding period ended 31 December 2023 (H1 FY2024), due to lower contributions from ship chartering and ship repair, conversion, and engineering services, partially offset by higher revenue from shipbuilding.

As of 31 December 2024, the group had an outstanding shipbuilding order book from external customers of approximately $62m for 27 vessels with progressive deliveries up to the fourth quarter of 2025 (Q2 FY2026).

Subsequent to this, the group secured additional shipbuilding contracts for 20 vessels worth approximately $57m where recognition of income is expected after FY2025.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
