The Straits Times Index (STI) closed at 4,440.500, down 0.35% on Thursday, 9 October, at 5:21 p.m.

Venture Corporation Limited was the most active stock, followed by DFI Retail Group Holdings Limited (+1.49%) and Singapore Telecommunications Limited (+1.43%).

Singapore Technologies Engineering Limited and HongkongLand Holdings Limited were at the foot.
