Was struggling with pure chem in O lvs until I met Ms Agnes. She's really dedicated and puts in a lot of effort for her students. From holding extra classes to replying late night texts, she has helped me attain an A2 for my chem in O lvs. Moreover, she's caring and lent me a listening ear when I was stressed and required help. Thank you Ms Agnes! ❤️ Would definitely continue having my classes here for A levels.

I joined Ms Celia's Emath class in Secondary 4 just after my mid-year examinations, around July or August. Within a few months, I improved from a C5 to a B3 in Emath, thanks to Ms Celia's patience and guidance, along with her detailed explanations and workings that made difficult concepts so much easier to grasp. Orion Tuition Centre's revision resources were also helpful in enabling me to gain sufficient practice and confidence in doing Emath papers.

As an upper sec math student taught by Ms Celia Chia, I can indeed say that the tuition centre is well equipped in preparing students for their exams as well as their general knowledge and grasping of the subject. Mathematics is essentially about practice and Orion really provides ample and well planned out materials to ensure we are familiar with concepts of the subject. The flexible, affordable and well paced (with respect to schools) lessons ensure we are ready while the teachers are attentive and understanding of issues we face and really go the extra mile to ensure we do well instead of merely going through the process of narration.

I was taught by Ms Celia Chia and i must say that she is highly skilled in her profession as a math tutor. Orion offers beneficial lesson resources and has several skilled teachers. Orion also caters to a wide range of students despite their difference in ability. Though i am weak in E-Math , Me Celia Chia was not only patient but understanding towards my difficulties. She will check our work often and ensure that there are no errors and teach us how to correct it if there are any. Ms Celia Chia has helped me improve my E-Math from a constant failure to a B3 for my prelims.

I was really lucky to be taught by Ms Celia Chia who had helped me tremendously, allowing me to attain an A grade for H1 math in the a levels exam which was something i didn’t know was possible especially since still getting U and S during my mid year exams. Celia has always been really patient with us and made sure we understood everything & cleared all our doubts. She’s amazing at what she does and super knowledgeable, understanding our individual needs and finding the best ways to help us improve. Her sweet and welcoming nature allowed me to feel rly comfortable ever since i joined her class, and i was able to learn so much from her & ask questions freely. I’m also really thankful for how she was so flexible despite her own busy schedule, doing her best to give us the additional help we needed be it in class or zoom calls. All in all, thanks to Celia, i had a great experience! Math, that was once a subject i hated and was so weak in became a subject that i’m now confident in & rly enjoy learning :)

Ms Celia Chia really helped me alot in improving my math, not only is she patient with me in explaining the different math concepts and logic behind them, she also manages to point out my mistakes accurately and providing me with tips and tricks to handle them better. She cleared my doubts by focusing on topics I had constant struggles in and with intensive guidance and practice along with her willingness to help me even late at night, I managed to score an A for a levels, a tremendous improvement from the D grade I had in prelims! Thank you for boosting my grades in just three months and giving me so much more confidence when approaching stats questions!!

Mr Anthony and Ms Agnes are passionate teachers who went out of their way to conduct extra sessions for my daughter to strengthen her foundation. My daughter comments that they were able to explain her misunderstandings to her clearly, and motivate concepts effectively as well. My daughter's confidence level has visibly increased after attending this tuition centre. With these in mind, I would strongly recommend this centre to others.

The Teachers here especially Mr Anthony (Maths and Physics) are extremely passionate and knowledge about the subject that they teach and are really encouraging.Mr Anthony is willing to go an extra mile to ensure that his students are crystal clear in their concepts. He also provides helpful resources (prepared by him) which enables to understand and follow what is being taught. During the class hours,he answers every question that every student asks and also repeats himself until the student understands fully and he does not leave anyone behind during the class. Also the environment there is extremely conducive to study thanks to the provision of snacks and drinks . Overall I will strongly recommend this tuition to the students

Before meeting Mr Anthony, I was struggling for H2 Maths and whatever I did failed to pull my grades up. It was until I met Mr Anthony that I started to see improvements to my grades. Mr Anthony is a helpful and dedicated teacher who is always willing to stay back and answer our questions until we understand the concept. Mr Anthony also structure his lessons in such a way that he is able to explain concepts to us in a clear and concise manner. Moreover, Ms Agnes is a patient teacher and explain chemistry concepts clearly as well as point out commonly made mistakes by students. Thanks you Mr Anthony and Ms Agnes!

Before being taught by William, I was constantly underperforming in results and going through lessons with William definitely helped me do well for As. Apart from being very knowledgeable about the syllabus and him being a genius himself 😂, William is a very caring and approachable tutor and friend! He would always try his best to relate to my own thinking and try to improve my thought processes, if not sometimes sharing with me his own methodology and this form of teaching whereby he complements his students definitely go a long way in helping us improve. He also goes the extra mile to make sure that any doubts will be clarified by the end of the lesson, even if it means extending beyond lesson time and eating into his own personal time, or even when we send him messages where he would reply asap. I think one instance that stood out to me was when I asked whether William could travel to my house instead of me traveling to the centre because it would save me a lot of travelling time and give me more time to rest, and he agreed without hesitation even though this was a huge inconvenience to him. This goes to show how he really cares for his students and I really looked forward to lessons with William because I know I’m in good hands. Thank you William for being a great teacher and friend to me! :))

H2 Math was quite a struggle for me throughout JC as the jump from secondary school was very big. I decided to join Orion Tuition Centre in J2, hoping to improve my grades. Thanks to the guidance by Mr Anthony, I performed well in the A levels while I used to get D/E in school exams. Mr Anthony was extremely helpful and always willing to stay back after lessons to help if anyone had extra questions. We could also ask him questions via Whatsapp anytime and he would explain concepts clearly to help us understand everything. I’m really grateful for the help provided, thanks Mr Anthony!! :)

I started Orion tuition in the last week of August as a last ditch effort to push up my grades and my mid year grades for physics and math (subjects I went to study at Orion) were S and B respectively. While I was relatively proficient at math, my physics was terrible, I had major conceptual errors and an isolated understanding of topics (E.g. the concept of GPE and EPE as well as the concept of alternating current and SHM). Mr Anthony was able to provide the missing link between topics as well as managed to answer other questions that I had for remaining topics. Mr Anthony has an excellent mastery over the content he teaches and is able to effectively impart his knowledge to me. He encourages us to clear our doubts, regardless of how minor it is. That is what really enabled to improve my grades by leaps and bounds as a weaker student whose foundation is still shaky. He also stays back after lessons to clear any doubts we have about the lesson as well as providing consultation sessions should we require it. As for mathematics, he provides a comprehensive set of questions to practise, covering every type of question that has been previously tested. He also accurately spots questions based of past year questions, I was able to breeze though the math paper as I had already done similar questions before. I remember vividly the DE questions that Mr Anthony had set for me and an almost identical question had appeared on the paper. All in all, I was really blessed to have him as a teacher as I scored As for both math and physics and to say he played a large part is an understatement.

Orion has been very passionate to help my Son prepared well for his A level exam. The tutors put in tremendous efforts to motivate and coach him in H2 maths and Science subjects. With their dedication and commitment, he began to understand concepts that were very unclear in the past. I am grateful to them as he achieved good results to secure a place in the local university. I would like to express my appreciation to the tutors, particularly Mr Anthony and Ms Agnes. I would certainly recommend A level students who need help to give Orion a try. Hereby wishing Orion all the best in the coming years. Regards Andrew, parent of SRJC student

Seeing that Chemistry was the weakest out of all my subjects, Mr Anthony(an amazing H2 Physics and H2 Math tutor by the way!😁) recommended Ms Agnes to me as a tutor. She was made aware of my poor results and took extra effort to coach me to catch up with a class that had already started. She points out fundamentals and common mistakes that any average student would make to ensure we do not make the same mistakes. The additional lessons and OTOT consultations provided allowed me to clear my doubts without fear of dragging the class down. No matter how much clarification we needed, she would still do her best to explain and would ensure that we understood the content of the lesson. Overall, I would definitely recommend Ms Agnes for Chemistry lessons!😃

I joined Mr Anthony’s math tuition class at the beginning of my J2 year with a weak understanding for my math curriculum; I struggled in school and was unable to grasp the concepts. However, under Mr Anthony’s guidance, I started to understand the math concepts and also started to gain confidence when it comes to doing math questions. Mr Anthony was very patient even when I could not solve the questions and would continuously encourage me by giving me feedback and also pointing out where I have went wrong. He would also pick out questions where I struggle more in and come up with similar questions for me to try out such that I can be more familiar with the method and its process. Through Mr Anthony’s dedication, I went from failing/barely passing math to getting my desired grade in A Levels. It was a real blessing to have found Orion tuition centre and I am very grateful to Mr Anthony! The infrastructure of the centre is also super conducive and one of the nicest-looking centres I have been to. I am recommending the centre to my juniors as I feel that it would truly help those who are having a difficult time with math. Thank you Mr Anthony! :)

Mr Anthony is a caring and dedicated teacher who does his best to meet the needs of his students. Closer to the A levels exam, he offered to give additional lessons and consultations for anyone who required it. He also took special efforts to collate the different question types for each topic so that we can have a more well-rounded revision and better tackle the questions. During the intensive period, he also gave us additional timed practices which better prepared us for the grind. Apart from all these, he also connects well with his students, often encouraging us and offering his advice. It has been a blessing to have met such a wonderful Math tutor like Mr Anthony, will definitely recommend Orion tuition!!

From U to A for A lvls, like seriously what more can I ask for. The centre and tutors are willing to help the students wherever they can and I’m truly grateful for it as I had financial difficulties. Really need to thank my tutor Mr William for his patience and guidance as he is willing to spend his extra time to stay back and guide me through the questions I had. Classes are small so you can get more attention and the tutors will really make sure you understand the topic well. A good place to build up your foundation and sharpen your answering techniques as the handouts are especially useful when complement with the school notes .Cant forget the moment when I went to the centre after school to have more practice and clear my doubts until late night. Effort does pay off. For those who are finding a place for help , Orion Tuition Centre should be your first option like legit I got an A for A lvls Physics from a U before I enter. Last but not least I really want to thank Mr William for sacrificing your time and help me wherever you can, truly appreciate it.

Orion was v helpful to me in preparing for my A levels. I was lagging behind due to curriculum activities but I was really lucky to have Mr Anthony to keep pushing me to better improve myself. He was v patient when explaining things I didn't understand and would provide one to one consultation when I need it. During the crunch time (starting from abt 1 month before A levels) Mr Anthony gave us more lessons and consultations which were v helpful in clearing many common mistakes and stranthens our foundation. Close to exams, he would provide us with v strategic qns which helps us to warm up and remind us of the things that we have learnt which are important. Really lucky to be in Orion. I have improved tremendously from where I started, and I would like to thank Orion for that. Thank you!

As a student who retook A levels during NS under the tutelage of Mr Anthony, Orion tuition centre is certainly one of the best tuition centre. Here's why: 1. Adaptable While serving my first year of national service, the amount of time constrain which i face is immense due to BMT and SCS. As a result, it has caused my schedule to be rather packed and inflexible. Mr Anthony made it such that i am able to reschedule my lessons if i am unable to attend. 2. Skillful As time is a limiting factor, Mr Anthony is able to come up with concepts which are easy to understand in topics such as DC circuits. The questions which he handpicked for his practices allow me to tackle the topic thoroughly. It targets the ways how the paper can test u on that certain topic. 3. Food and Drinks Unless you are a glutton like me, this is one of the most convincing reasons to join orion tution centre. The fridge is often packed with drinks ranging from coke to green tea. Not only that, the tuition centre has a coffee dispenser/ packets to help weary students(or NSFs) to get through the exhaustion! There are also snacks like nuts and oreos for those who might feel hungry during lessons. 4. Motivation as a tutor As an NSF who had duties and outfields which are constantly hovering over me, Mr Anthony never fails to push me to succeed for A levels. He goes the extra mile to teach me and ensure that i understand the concept of certain topics even after class has ended. I still remember crumbling due to the sheer amount of stress i face. He was there to get me back on track with his delicate scolding. He is extremely patient when i fail to understand simple concepts due to amount of exhaustion i face on a daily basis. All in all, i highly recommend Orion Tuition Centre if u wish to push for a better A level result. The teachers are willing to put in the extra effort if u are willing to do the same. They also allowed me to attend extra group classes at no cost in order to bolster my foundation in the subject. If you wish to improve, Orion tuition centre is the place to go.

My experience with Mr Anthony was extremely good. Joining about 6 months prior to A Levels (H2 Math), he managed to prepare to prepare me to the best of his ability through of series of targeted practices. He even went through an extra mile to provide additional classes nearing the exams. Without a doubt, he is one of the best tutor I ever had and would gladly recommend him to everyone.

I was a student of Orion Tuition Centre from 2016-2017 and really enjoyed my time there. Mr Anthony was always willing to go the extra mile for his students, giving special attention to those who are weaker. His methods of teaching are effective, and greatly supplements what I learnt in school. I was only mediocre at math when I joined, but attending his lessons made H2 mathematics the subject I was most comfortable in and confident in doing well throughout the 2 years of Junior College.

It was honestly one of my best decisions to join Orion Tuition Centre in 2017, I was introduced by a friend and I've never looked back. Mr Anthony and Mr William are really patient and dedicated teachers who always go all way out to help their students. I wasn't particularly good in math, but they helped me regain my confidence in math, and I managed to attain a B for my A levels H2 Math. I joined Orion Tuition Center on the 3rd week of July 2017 and I was running out of time before the A Level examinations start. To make it worst, I took my A Level examinations in 2015 when I was still in school and did not even study for that 1.5 years gap before I decided to retake my A Level again in 2017 as a private candidate. As bad as it seems, I got an E for my H2 Mathematics in 2015 and clearly I was not the brightest student and needed help, like major help. My friend recommended me to go for Orion Tuition Center so that was where I met Mr Anthony and Mr William. I have not seen any tutors as dedicated as them both ever in my life. I have gone through lots of break downs just because I felt hopeless because I simply could not understand and get the right answers. There are times I felt like giving up; thinking that maybe retaking A Level was a wrong choice for me. However, Mr Anthony never fails to keep on encouraging me, giving me lots of motivation to keep myself going. He loves to share his personal life stories which inspire me a lot. I remember failing all the math tests that Mr Anthony had prepared for us and how I always wrote “Help” on my test papers just because I do not know how to do, or even worst, I do not even know how to start on answering the question. Yet, he did not lose hope on me. He still believed in me that I could still catch up in that 4 months I had. I loved the way he conducted all his lessons as he would summarise the topic before he go through the examples and questions. After each topic that he had completed teaching, I end up referring only to his notes without even looking my school notes previously. It was sufficient enough for me to use his summaries and examples as my revision. He also tried to make his lessons hilarious sometimes so that we can remember better. Apart from that, I remember how Mr William had stayed with me through the night just to clarify all my doubts the day before the actual A Level examination day. Even though I always get confused with some of the concepts or formulas, he taught me with so much patience. Even at some point of time he had to keep on repeating his explanation to me, he tried his best to explain it in thousands other ways he could just so I can grasp the concepts. Even after he left, I still keep bugging him, sending lots of Whatsapp messages asking him this and that. He is more than happy to help me and write down the solutions for me. Lastly, they also look out for those students who are financially unstable. They would try their best to help these students to get the lessons they required. I am so amazed at how kind-hearted they can be. When you see it with your own eyes, you will know yourself that they are not doing this mainly for the money income, but also for the satisfaction they receive when they see their students do well in their future endeavours. All in all, I guess what I am trying to say is that, no matter how slow you are and no matter how hard it is for you to understand; they will never give up on you. They will guide you throughout the whole journey until your A Level examinations end. However, hard work and discipline still plays a big part to make a big difference. Like they always say to me, “Nobody can help you if you don’t want to help yourself.” I managed to pull off with a B grade for my Mathematics A Level at the end of the year 2017 and though it was not an A, I see it as a big achievement for myself, knowing I only got an E and did not study for 1.5 years. I guess anything is possible if you believe in yourself. I really could not have made it if it was not for Mr Anthony and Mr William. Hands down the best tutors ever! Awesome teachers! Anthony and William are highly dedicated in helping their students and would go all out, like organising extra classes, and consultation for those who needs extra help! The method of teaching adopted by the teachers are done in a manner which makes concepts a lot easier to understand. They would also come up with strategies to help the students learn and find patterns in questions which was very efficient!:)) On top of that, we all know how depressing studying A levels can be. But fret not! The teachers from Orion will always be providing their students with a lot of encouragement and emotional support when the going gets tough! Thanks Orion Tuition Centre!

Orion Tuition Centre has the most helpful teachers, and an extremely conducive environment for one to study and learn in. As my tuition teacher for both maths and physics, William never gave up on me despite my continuous slew of failures, even going the extra mile to give me extra tuition and staying till 10pm to help me out. Despite the fact that I wasn't his student, Anthony never failed to offer his help and expertise. Orion Tuition Centre is also very accommodating, allowing students to use their facilities for self-study purposes. For the first time ever, I managed to pull more than a U or S for my maths and physics, and actually passed those subjects decently enough for the As. If not for the centre I would've had to retake the As. Orion is most definitely a tuition centre I'd recommend to others; for what it's worth, thank you so much for everything!

One of the best decisions I have made was to join Orion Tuition. We were exposed to all types of questions and were very well prepared for the A-Level examination. The answering techniques taught were very effective and the tutors were always very patient in answering any questions that we might have. Apart from helping us gain an academic advantage, the tutors also showed great concern for our well-being. I will never forget the never said die attitude, the constant encouragements and the optimism that Orion Tuition had shown me. Thank you, Orion!!

Mr. Anthony and Ms. Agnes are truly the most passionate and caring tutors I have ever met. They are experts in their fields—A-Level Physics and Math (Mr. Anthony) and Chemistry (Ms. Agnes). Their materials are clear, comprehensive, and perfectly aligned with the GCE A-Level syllabus. What truly sets them apart is their approachability; they genuinely listen to students and adapt their teaching methods to fit individual learning styles. This allows them to effectively support students across different academic levels. Personally, as a private candidate retaking my A-Levels, their notes and practices were crucial. Even without a school environment, they helped pace my studies and kept my motivation high throughout the year. They transformed my learning experience by breaking down complex topics into digestible concepts, shifting my focus from route memorization to true understanding. My tuition mates from school settings also found that the lessons cleared up their misconceptions, making their school lectures much easier to follow and allowing them to excel in their exams. I highly recommend Orion Tuition to any student—whether you are a school candidate aiming for a breakthrough or a private candidate needing professional, structured support.

The tutors at Orion are top-notch, and were able to push me beyond what I would have achieved on my own. Teacher Anthony, who taught me both H2 Math and H2 Physics, taught the subject topic by topic, and within each topic, clearly demarcated various question types, and gave practices on each individual question, with clear steps on how to solve the question type. Such steps could be replicated to similar questions without much thought, proving the efficiency of the guides provided. Moreover, when it came to Physics, “standard” questions were demarcated and answers to them were highlighted. Upon memorization of these answers, when said questions appeared in the exam, it was a simple task for regurgitating the answer out, including in the actual A level. Moreover, through his observation in lessons and out, he would ask students who are weaker in general or at one topic to come down for extra lessons, where he would give them practices to do, and give the student feedback, and guidance on how to do said topics. I was personally one of those he asked to come down for extra lessons, in which he personally coached me one on one with topics that I was weak in. In the lead up to the actual A level, Anthony would predict topics that would come out and send us sample questions to look through, along with the answers to those question, among which some actually appeared in the A level. Ms Agnes was my Chemistry tutor for H2 and IP3-4 Chemistry. Coming in, I was failing Chemistry. However, after the guidance and the personalized lesson plans, my grades did jump to an A. Ms Agnes is a very attentive tutor, who is able to answer any of my doubts, and coached me one on one on how to improve. Heading into JC2, Ms Agnes saw that my Organic Chemistry was the weaker part of my knowledge, and pointed out what I had to memorize, and even provided materials to help me in this part. With this, my grades improved throughout JC2 and even managed to score well in the organic chemistry portion of my prelims. With regards to teaching, Ms Agnes is engaging, and manages to pinpoint clear steps on how to solve a problem. Barring any complex math, Ms Agnes clearly pointed out how to solve a troublesome question, and by following these steps, most questions of similar type are able to be solved. In the lead up to the A level, Ms Agnes was willing to help me mark my TYS, from which I could see a clear steady improvement, from barely passing in July, to achieving a good grade in late October. Upon which, she would go through the paper with me, pointing out any mistakes I had, and telling me my common mistakes that I unfortunately had made, which I would then improve on, to which the next time a similar question appeared, I would get it correct. Ms Agnes would also help to predict questions, to which they actually came out during the A level exam, allowing me to breeze through said questions with ease. All in all, the A level team at Orion is excellent, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of help for their A level track for Physics, Chemistry and Math

Before meeting Mr. Anthony, I was struggling with H2 Maths, and nothing I did seemed to improve my grades. It wasn't until I started his classes that I finally began to see progress. Mr. Anthony is a helpful and dedicated teacher who is always willing to stay back and answer our questions until we fully understand the concepts. He structures his lessons in a way that makes even complex topics clear and concise. Additionally, Ms. Agnes is a patient teacher who explains Chemistry concepts clearly while pointing out common mistakes. Thank you, Mr. Anthony and Ms. Agnes!

I joined this tuition centre at the start of 2024 with a really bad chem grade from the end of my eoy. However, through this tuition centre, I was able to clarify my doubts thoroughly with my patient teacher Ms Agnes, thus I would not be so paranoid over small issues that might hinder my progress in my studies. With her notes provided, the information is collated into important points, making it easier to read and understand. The lesson also provides different quizzes or worksheets that mainly focuses on specific topics, allowing us to hone our understanding of specific topics, and to find out our weak and strong points. Because of these lessons alone, my chemistry went from a c5 in prelim to an a2 in olevels, because of these clear and concise lessons that helped me regain my confidence.

My girl has been with Orion Tuition Centre for 4 years and the tutors there have been very dedicated to provide extra help due to the different syllabus coverage in the Integrated Programme. Mr Anthony and Ms Celia have been very nurturing teachers and gave my girl a lot of encouragement and support. Thanks to Orion, my girl scored an A in A levels when her starting point was 40/100. 🙏🙂

I started chemistry tuition with Ms Agnes at Sec 3 and stayed on for 4 years as I liked house thorough she was in explaining concepts. Due to her efforts even when my grades tanked during the jump in difficulty from secondary to JC, my Chemistry grade improved tremendously and ultimately secured A in the Alvls. Mr Anthony was a great help for math throughout JC, and he answered every question no matter how small as well. Thank you to both teachers!!

I was taught by Teacher William (H2 Math) and joined after failing math in BTs (mid year exams). Teacher William was a very passionate, caring teacher and I could tell that he genuinely enjoyed teaching the subject which made it easier to learn. Orion Tuition Centre also had a good environment to study in with snacks and coffee! With his help, I managed to jump from U in Prelims to B in Alevels :)

Mr William (H2 math) was always concise in explanation and shared many tips and tricks to quicken understanding and problem solving! The lessons had good balance of teaching, practice questions and practice papers, so it really helped with my mastery of certain topics. My H2 math grades have significantly improved since I joined in early J2, jumping from S/U to A/B :) They also offer online sessions when travelling is inconvenient, especially since I live fairly far away. Highly recommend!

I joined Orion Tuition after my Promos last year. I had performed really badly for H2 Physics and H2 Mathematics throughout my J1 and thus sought out tuition in the hopes of improving my grades - which definitely did. (I improved a whopping 5 grades within about 7 months) Mr William was my math tutor and I’m truly being honest when I say he is a patient, dedicated and knowledgeable teacher. He is always willing to go out of his way to help his students and often give tips to work smarter in exams. Furthermore, nearer to A Levels, Mr William would organise weekly mock exams where we would go down to the centre to complete a math paper under timing, afterwhich he would go through on the spot. This is all done at no additional cost!! (He even conducted weekly sessions for us, the 2 physics students, as our physics tutor wasn’t able to do so!) Also, his teaching is engaging and he does his best to explain all the concepts such that we truly understand it. Truly a really amazing and dedicated teacher!! Mr Anthoni was my physics tutor, and patient, passionate and thorough are words that really describes him as a teacher. He ensures that he goes through concepts well and often check in on us to see whether we are following the lesson. As my physics class was really small (only 2 students), the pace of lesson was really good and he does his best to cater to both our needs and weaknesses. Really an amazing teacher!! Last but definitely not least, what I really appreciate is how accommodating and supportive my teachers are. We have the option of attending tuition sessions online via Zoom or physical at the centre. This flexibility is especially useful when other plans (school or personal) clashes with tuition sessions. Also!! Should we feel a need to review the lesson again, we can always request our teacher to record the sessions and share it with us. They are always willing to do so!! I really recommend this tuition centre for those in JC!!

She has given us many practices and made sure we are able to cope with our studies. She also provides us with online consultation and trial practice papers before our exams, which is super useful as it helps build our tolerance and sharpens our math skills. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Anthony who has helped my child achieve good results in Physics and Maths A level and she was offered her desired course in local universities. She was consistently failing her subjects even up till prelims and It was pleasant surprised that she did quite well at A levels. We started Physics with Mr. Anthony quite late, and Maths only after prelims. It was very last minute but Mr. Anthony did not give up on her, and continued to encourage her and helping her, constantly adjusting his teaching style to suit my child’s needs. We are thankful that our child got the help she needed and hope other students will get the same quality mentorship from Anthony as well

Ms Celia helped me to score consistent As in major exams and ultimately my Alvls for H1 math! She is extremely patient and meticulous in explaining concepts and the working process for each topic/question, and is committed to making sure you understand the thought process behind the workings. This was really good because you don't just learn how to solve problems on auto pilot but you actually understand the steps - this way, even complex/unusual questions will not stump you.

Highly recommend it. Ms Celia is such a great teacher and help me deepen my understanding of concepts for math. She often goes the extra mile just to give additional lessons without extra cost and clarified my doubts. A lot of flexibility is also given to choose between online and face to face lessons and timings. Ms Celia is very patient when explaining and the strategies she taught to tackle math was very useful. Offline, she provided a lot of support in terms of school work. She really helped me to improve my foundation and math.

I really recommend Orion! I was taught by Ms Celia Chia who helped me tremendously and allowed me to attain an A for math in A levels which i never thought was possible since it was my weakest subject and i was getting U and S during my mid year exams. She's patient, encouraging, dedicated & truly amazing at what she does:) She goes the extra mile for us, teaching us based on our individual needs and using methods that suit us most. I've learnt so so much from her, plus her sweet and welcoming nature really made the entire learning experience a great one :) With her help, math, that was once a subject i hated and struggled with, is now one that i'm confident in and enjoy learning.

I started H1 Math tuition with Ms Celia Chia in mid August of my second year of JC, about 3 months before my A levels. She cleared my doubts by focusing on topics I had constant struggles in and with intensive guidance and practice along with her willingness to help me even late at night, I managed to score an A for a levels, a tremendous improvement from the D grade I had in prelims. She managed to clear my confusion with the different math concepts, introduce tips and tricks on tackling varying math questions, all of which have helped me a lot in not only solving the problems but also understanding the logic behind them.

Ms Celia and Ms Agnes are tutors who knew the syllabus at the back of their hands and have provided me with numerous drills and practices, answered my queries even at odd hours and taught with nothing short of utmost passion and dedication. I would definitely recommend Orion Tuition Centre. Anthony was very supportive, and great in understanding where the problems were and addressing them, as well as providing clear and concise explanations for even the most complicated topics. He also made sure to recap some of the harder aspects previously covered. I joined Orion Tuition in February 2016 having performed poorly in both maths and physics at the JC1 promotional exams. Rather than retaking the first year, I decided to do the A Levels privately. It was a bit risky as the exams were held 6 months earlier than at JC, but Anthony went through the remaining topics brilliantly and completed both the maths and physics syllabuses in time for the May/June batch of A Levels despite the short time frame. I earned an A and B in Maths and Physics respectively, and then using this solid foundation went on to attain a bachelor’s degree in engineering in the UK. 5/5!

Won't lie, but the first time I had lesson with William, I was really amazed by his knowledge in the fields of Physics and Mathematics, as well as his confidence in teaching. He has taken the A level examinations before and has kept up with MOE's syllabus very closely, hence not only is he well-versed with the topics I learn in school, he is also able to offer very practical and useful tips for scoring well in exams and even tips to study smart for As. Spending more time with William, you will come to see that he is actually very encouraging, patiently teaching and explaining concepts thoroughly so that I will have a firm foundation and understanding. Nearing exams, he tries to spend extra time after class for further clarifications or practice if his time permits. He also checks up on us and our other subjects once in a while to make sure I'm not overly focused on the subjects he's tutoring me. He has brought up my competencies of Physics and Math and maintained it all the way till A levels, helping me to score an A grade in both subjects. Overall, William (and his team at Orion) is definitely a choice to consider if you're trying to find top quality tutors.

I would like to commend Ms Agnes Chan (O, IP, H2 Chemistry) for her patience and guidance. She puts in her heart and soul to teach her students and delivers clear and concise chemistry lectures so that her students have a firm grasp on the essential concepts and bridge lessons well, ensuring that all her students can follow through her lessons and prepares very substantial and informative quick study notes and highlights common questions and tackling data based/decontextualised questions, allowing her students to be very well prepared for the syllabus. I would also like to commend Ms Celia Chia (O, IP, H1 Mathematics) as a very kind and helpful tutor that takes the time to ensure that no pupil is neglected in her class and is very adaptive and is willing to tailor her teaching styles and methods to suit each student and class as per necessary. She often will provide ample graded assessments and copious amounts of worksheets for practice that are really helpful and relevant to the syllabus, and cares very much for her students well being, making her stand out as a well liked and effective Math tutor for the O level and IP class. Both tutors are willing to schedule consultation slots (1 on 1) FOC and provide supplementary notes and worksheets for topics on request and are quick to respond to any on demand questions students have via text messages. This is greatly appreciated and shows that they put in care and push every student to their maximum potential and excel beyond that threshold. Would highly recommend Orion for their team of excellent tutors and ability to deliver the best for every student.

Truly excellent tuition centre! I joined halfway through the first year of my JC when I was failing nearly every subject and through the help I received at Orion, I was able to achieve far superior results in my A levels than I used to before joining the centre. Mr Anthony is an extremely patient and detail oriented teacher and is always eager to help in many ways whether it be through extra consultations or answering questions through WhatsApp. He is also able to spot questions which could come out in the A levels, and in fact a few questions in the H2 Math paper actually did! With his continued help and support, I have managed to gain admission to Monash University, a top university in Australia. All in all, I highly recommend this tuition centre as it provides top notch academic support as well as facilities!

During JC1, my H2 Physics and H2 Math grades never went above E even though I tried all sorts of different studying methods for them. Hence at the end of the year, I gave in to my mum's persuasion to go for tuition. At that time, I saw tuition as paying someone to supervise my studying, which sounds really impractical so I was rather reluctant to give away 4hrs of my precious time every weekend. However, it took me just 1 lesson with William to completely destroy that mindset. William always ensures that every student has a clear understanding of the concepts being taught and will readily go the extra mile of using different explanations should we experience difficulties in keeping up with what's going on in class. William is also very approachable, allowing us to stay back after class to clarify all our doubts with him. Even on other days when I bump into problems during my self studying, William is always there on whatsapp to quickly address my issues, allowing me to have smooth and productive revision sessions. With William's guidance, I did well for both subjects in A levels, and got accepted into my desired university course, which I am very grateful for. I will definitely recommend Orion's classes to all JC students!!

Orion has been very passionate to help my son to prepare well for his A level exam. The tutors put in tremendous efforts and extra hours to coach him in H2 Maths and Science subjects. With their dedication and commitment, my son began to understand concepts that were unclear to him in the past. I am grateful to them as my son achieved good results in his A level to secure a place in the local university. I would like to express my appreciation to the tutors, particularly Anthony and Agnes. And I would recommend A levels students who need help in Science and Maths subjects to give the Centre a try. Hereby wishing the Centre all the best in the coming years.

William is an extremely dedicated tutor who makes learning a truly enjoyable process. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the field of mathematics, and would guide us through important concepts using a variety of methods, such as anecdotes, as well as practical examples. His teaching is clear and concise, and he makes mathematics easy to learn and understand. He also teaches many handy tips to improve the way we answer the questions. William is always patient with me and would slowly explain any doubts I do not understand. He is extremely generous with his time and willingly takes time outside of class to clear any doubts that we have regarding any questions we have. On top of this, he also extends beyond lesson times to help us to the best that he can. To him, there is nothing that brings more joy for him than seeing his students improve. William exudes a kind and sincere aura and his warm and genial personality puts people at ease. We look to him as a friend whom one can easily turn to and count on. He frequently checks on how we are doing, and once in a while shares his life stories such as how he worked for his A levels, to motivate us and spur us on. He would also give us tips on how to revise, not only for mathematics but also for other subjects. The two years I have spent under William’s coaching have been enriching and meaningful, for I not only improved my understanding and knowledge of H2 Mathematics, but also learnt other important life lessons.

I joined Orion at the start of my A level year. Physics with Mr Anthony was very helpful in giving me the extra boost I needed to excel at the subject. I really appreciated the rigour and breadth of the practice questions that he provided, as well as his thorough explanations of the solutions. Ms Agnes was very patient and encouraging, and she helped me build up my chem foundation that had been quite lacking. She focused on explaining the basic concepts and provided many apt practices which helped my chem grade climb steadily throughout the year from a U at CT1 to an A at A levels. Thank you!

I first sought Orion Tuition Centre for H2 Maths tuition in 2018. I was always struggling in my mathand have never done well for math in my junior college exams before. However, thanks to Mr Anthony, he was very patient and detailed in his explainations. Within a short span of time, my results improved greatly and I got a B in my A-levels. Without Mr Anthony, this would not have been possible!

Orion was really really helpful in helping me prep for A levels. I went to Orion for math and physics, H2. I was lagging behind in academics due to extra sch activities and was really demotivated when I joined Orion. Mr Anthony not only made me feel more confident for the exam but really helped me improved. He gives one-to-one help when I really needed them. Nearing to exams, his strategic revision papers and consultations are my saviour! My math went from S(prelims) to A(A levels), its really unbelievable getting this result. Orion was key to my improvement, thank you!!! And I definitely recommend it.

I was borderline passing my H2 maths in early and mid J2 before I found this tution centre. I met Mr William and he was able to push my results to A for my A level in 2018. He is very encouraging and I was able to ask him questions beyond his classes. The tuition centre also has resources from various JCs collated over the years and I found them to be very useful for my practices. Not only that, the Yishun centre provides the students with various snacks and drinks for free to rejuvenate if you wish to study before or after the lessons.

Back then, I had the worst maths grades, and was flunking almost every test and exams in school. But tutor Celia managed to perform some kind of magic and pulled me up to As and high Bs in quite a short period. I took on amaths as a subject later on and she also managed to help me through the syllabus such that I maintained an A or B grade. Moreover, she went ahead of just tutoring me mathematics, and has even taught me many skills that were important for my studies, such that my other subjects were still doing relatively well.

before coming here, i had very poor foundation in both math and physics. william is an extremely competent, patient and caring teacher who really helped me understand the concepts in both subjects and how these concepts can be tested through his private lessons. he has helped me believe that i too can understand concepts that i never thought i could and even apply them, changing the way i think about math and physics. i highly recommend his lessons to anyone who wants to solidify his/her understanding of A level math or physics concepts :-)

I first met Mr William way before the tuition centre was established. He tutored me for around four years between 2007 to 2011 through my O and A Levels. He is a passionate and dedicated teacher and I loved the way he taught. He could explain difficult mathematical concepts in a simple manner. Through his guidance, I was able to achieve distinctions in both my O and A Levels Mathematics subject. Years of Mr William’s teaching allowed me to build a solid foundation in Mathematics, which was highly beneficial throughout my undergraduate studies. Looking beyond the teacher-student relationship, we continued to keep in touch over the years. I am deeply supportive of him starting up a tuition centre. With the breadth of experience and the passion in teaching, he is definitely the perfect man for the job!

Overall I'd say my experience at Orion is the BEST amongst all other tuition centres I've been to for the following reasons: 1) Casual Setting William is super friendly and approachable which I feel is an imperative aspect that all teachers should have. It made me feel comfortable to ask questions (no matter how silly it may be) as it helps William identify my thought process and realign it to the correct one. 2) Clear & Concise, Everything the Syllabus Demands While I am sure William would be more than willing to share more on the subjects (Mathematics and Physics), time was of the essence for me while preparing for my A levels. Having joined late I had loads to catch up on. Fortunately, the format done by William is super organised and consistent (ensuring everything that could possibly be tested is being covered) and with sufficient relevant practice. While preparing for my exams, I substituted my school notes for his notes entirely. 3) Passionate While this may not seem like a huge factor to many, I think his passion in the subject did rub off a little which motivated me to work hard on the subject seeing it as something less daunting and doable. I remain amazed at how he is able to grasp higher level concepts so quick and consult him from time to time even as I am in university (we're both in engineering) at the time of writing this review. Being 10 years my senior (coincidentally, we have the same Alma-mater), he has achieved so much which really inspires me to work hard and see what could I achieve in the same time span.

    Frequently Asked Questions

H2 Physics is consistently rated as one of the most challenging A-Level subjects in Singapore, and it catches many students off guard — including those who excelled at O-Level Physics. The key difference is that H2 Physics moves from a largely descriptive understanding of physical phenomena to a mathematically rigorous, concept-heavy subject.

Topics like Electromagnetic Induction, Quantum Physics, and Electric Fields require a level of abstract thinking that is genuinely new for most JC students. Additionally, JC lecture-style teaching means less individual guidance than students were accustomed to in secondary school.

Structured tuition fills this gap by providing the individual attention and exam-focused practice that school lectures simply cannot offer.

H2 Physics at Orion is taught by Mr Anthony Lee, who also leads the H2 Mathematics programme. The combination matters — because H2 Physics and H2 Maths are deeply interconnected subjects, and having the same tutor teaching both allows Mr Anthony to draw explicit links between them in ways that benefit every student taking both subjects.

Mr Anthony’s own academic story is an unusual one. He began in the EM3 stream in primary school — the lowest academic stream in the Singapore system at the time — with a PSLE score of 114. He eventually graduated on the NUS Dean’s List on consecutive semesters. That experience of overcoming academic difficulty from the bottom up informs everything about how he teaches Physics.

He understands that H2 Physics is not simply hard content — it is a shift in how students must think. The subject demands abstract reasoning, multi-step application, and the ability to connect physical principles to unfamiliar real-world scenarios. These are learnable skills, not innate talents, and Mr Anthony structures his teaching to develop them systematically.

His Physics lessons are known for their use of visual analogies, simulations, and physical apparatus — making abstract topics like Electromagnetic Induction, Quantum Physics, and Oscillations tangible before introducing exam-level application. Students who have described these topics as incomprehensible in school lectures consistently report clarity after his explanations.

The programme has achieved 90% of students getting an A/B or at least a 2-grade improvement at A-Level.

The topics where students most frequently lose marks in H2 Physics are: Gravitation, Electromagnetic Induction, Quantum Physics, Thermal Physics, Waves and Superposition, and Oscillations.

These topics are abstract, mathematically demanding, and often tested with multi-step problems that require linking concepts across different chapters. Mr Anthony addresses this directly by building students’ conceptual foundation before introducing exam-level questions.

He uses simulation, animations, physical analogies, and worked examples to make abstract concepts tangible. Students consistently describe how topics that felt incomprehensible in school lectures suddenly made sense after his explanations.

H2 Physics and H2 Maths are in fact highly complementary — skills in calculus, vectors, and algebraic manipulation from H2 Maths directly support the mathematical demands of H2 Physics. Students taking both subjects often find that learning them together reinforces understanding in each.

That said, managing both subjects alongside the rest of the JC workload does require good time management and consistent revision. At Orion, Mr Anthony teaches both H2 Maths and H2 Physics, which means he can draw explicit connections between the two subjects.

Many Orion students take both subjects simultaneously and achieve strong results in both.

Taking H2 Physics and H2 Chemistry together is one of the most common subject combinations for students pursuing Science or Engineering at university, and it is very manageable with the right support — though it does require deliberate time management.

The two subjects are more complementary than they might appear. Physical Chemistry topics — particularly Energetics, Electrochemistry, and Atomic Structure — overlap conceptually with H2 Physics areas like Thermal Physics and Electric Fields. Students who develop a strong understanding of one subject often find the corresponding concepts in the other easier to grasp.

The practical challenge is workload. Both subjects are content-heavy, require consistent weekly revision, and have practical examination components. Students who spread revision too thin across all subjects and leave either Physics or Chemistry to the final months consistently underperform relative to their actual ability.

At Orion, a significant number of students take both H2 Physics and H2 Chemistry. Mr Anthony teaches H2 Physics and Ms Agnes teaches H2 Chemistry — and because they work together at the same centre, they are aware of which students they share. This means revision scheduling and cross-subject connections can be coordinated in a way that is not possible when students attend two separate tuition centres.

Past-year paper practice is necessary but not sufficient for H2 Physics. Many students make the mistake of going to papers too early — before their conceptual foundations are solid — and developing the habit of pattern-matching answers without genuine understanding. This approach works for familiar question formats but breaks down when A-Level papers present concepts in unfamiliar contexts, which they consistently do.

The most effective approach has three stages. First, concept mastery — understanding not just what each formula means, but why it applies in certain situations and not others. Topics like Electromagnetic Induction and Quantum Physics have limited formula banks; the marks come from applying those concepts correctly to situations you have not encountered before.

Second, structured topic-by-topic practice — working through questions systematically before combining topics, so weaknesses in individual areas are identified and addressed before they compound under exam conditions.

Third, timed full-paper practice — done after the first two stages, so students are practising exam technique on a foundation of genuine understanding rather than working around gaps they have not fixed.

At Orion, Mr Anthony sequences lessons deliberately around these three stages. Students do not move to full-paper practice until concept mastery has been established in each topic.

Yes — and the answer is the same regardless of which JC your child attends.

Our H2 Physics students come from Eunoia Junior College, Raffles Junior College, Anderson Serangoon Junior College, National Junior College, Nanyang Junior College, St Andrew’s Junior College, Hwa Chong Institution, and other JCs across Singapore.

Across all these schools, the pattern we see is consistent: JC Physics lectures move fast, individual questions are hard to ask in a lecture hall, and students who fall behind in one topic find the next harder as a result — because H2 Physics concepts build sequentially on each other.

What differs between students is not which school they came from, but where their specific foundational gaps lie. Some arrive strong in Mechanics but shaky in Electricity. Others have solid Waves understanding but have never properly consolidated Thermal Physics. Mr Anthony begins by identifying exactly where each student’s gaps are, rather than assuming a starting level.

This is one of the most common issues students face in H2 Physics — and it almost always comes down to the gap between conceptual familiarity and exam application. A student can read about Faraday’s Law and feel they understand it, but freeze when asked a multi-step exam question that applies it to an unfamiliar scenario.

H2 Physics is an application subject. Understanding the theory is necessary but not sufficient. What students need is structured exposure to a wide variety of question types, combined with the ability to identify which concept is being tested and approach it systematically.

This is the core of what Mr Anthony trains students to do — building exam instinct alongside conceptual knowledge.

Yes. The H2 Physics practical exam is a component of the A-Level assessment that tests students’ ability to design experiments, handle apparatus, analyse data, and present conclusions clearly.

Many students focus almost entirely on theory and neglect practical preparation — which can cost them marks they worked hard for in other components.

Mr Anthony uses visual aids, physical apparatus references, and past practical question review to ensure students are comfortable with the format and expectations of the practical exam. This is built into the programme naturally rather than treated as a last-minute add-on.

The earlier the better — a longer runway genuinely increases your child’s chances of doing well. H2 Physics topics in JC1 like Kinematics, Dynamics, Waves, and Thermal Physics form the conceptual bedrock for abstract JC2 topics like Electromagnetism and Quantum Physics. Students who build this foundation early find JC2 far more manageable.

That said, better late than never. For students joining in JC2, Mr Anthony takes a targeted approach: identifying the specific conceptual gaps — often in topics like Electric Fields or Oscillations — that are causing exam application to break down. Summary revision is timed strategically, and our online summary videos allow students to independently revisit JC1 Physics concepts at their own pace outside of class.

Students who joined us just weeks before the A-Levels — often subject to vacancy — have gone on to achieve remarkable improvements. H2 Physics is ultimately an application subject, and with the right exam strategies and conceptual clarity, grade jumps are absolutely achievable even in a short timeframe.

School H2 Physics lectures are designed for large cohorts and cover the syllabus at a fixed pace. There is little room for individual questions, and students who fall behind one week often find themselves compounding that gap over subsequent topics.

At Orion, the class size is capped at around 12 students, which means Mr Anthony can gauge understanding in real time, answer questions immediately, and adjust the pace for the group. Beyond class, students access video summaries, guided practice questions, and WhatsApp consultations.

The result is a support structure that surrounds the student throughout the week — not just for two hours on a Saturday.

No — and we want to be transparent about why.

H2 Physics is fundamentally an application subject. Understanding Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction, for example, is not the same as being able to apply it correctly to a multi-step exam question involving an unfamiliar scenario. The gap between knowing a concept and applying it under exam pressure is what separates students who score As from those who score Cs — and closing that gap requires repeated, spaced exposure to varied question types over time. It cannot be compressed into a few intensive days.

Crash courses also tend to follow a predictable structure: cover the syllabus at pace, work through common question types, and repeat. For stronger students who are mostly exam-ready, this can serve as a useful recap. But for students who are genuinely struggling — with conceptual gaps in Mechanics, shaky foundations in Waves, or real confusion about Electric Fields — a crash course addresses symptoms rather than causes. The underlying gaps remain, and under actual exam pressure, they resurface.

We are also honest about the commercial incentive that crash courses represent. Running intensive holiday programmes is a straightforward way to generate revenue from families who are anxious about upcoming examinations. That anxiety is real — and it is precisely why we choose not to exploit it. During school holidays, Mr Anthony’s time is extended for our existing students: for consultations, additional practice, and targeted revision. That is where our energy belongs.

For families looking for H2 Physics support, we encourage you to reach out about our regular weekly programme. Starting as early as possible gives your child the runway needed to build the genuine understanding that produces consistent results.

Yes — and we particularly recommend it for H2 Physics, because the way a subject is taught matters enormously when the content is as abstract as Electromagnetic Induction, Quantum Physics, and Oscillations.

Many students and parents tell us they were sceptical before the trial — that they had heard Physics tuition rarely makes a difference, or that their child had already tried another centre without improvement. The trial lesson is our answer to that scepticism. Mr Anthony’s approach to making abstract Physics tangible — through visual analogies, worked examples, and deliberate concept-building — is something that is best experienced rather than described.

The trial policy is the same across all Orion programmes: if your child attends the trial and decides not to continue, the trial fee is fully waived — no questions asked. If your child chooses to enrol, the trial lesson is counted as the first lesson of the programme.

Trial lessons are typically offered at the beginning of the year or when a new class is forming — this minimises disruption to ongoing classes and ensures the trial is as representative of a real lesson as possible.
