The Procedure
The therapist will first apply numbing cream 15 to 20 minutes before treatment for a more comfortable experience.
After cleansing your skin of the numbing cream, your doctor will inject the skin booster evenly across your face either by hand or with an injection device depending on the type of skin booster prescribed and treatment area.
The whole procedure full appointment usually takes around 30 to 60 minutes.
After treatment, tiny bumps or needle marks may appear and resolve within a few hours to a few days. Bruising and mild redness are also possible but can be concealed with makeup.
Your doctor will also provide aftercare instructions to speed recovery and optimise results. You should avoid makeup immediately after treatment and refrain from alcohol consumption, vigorous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, and excessive heat for the first 24 hours to reduce the likelihood of bruising, minimise infection, and optimise recovery.
