#1 The Colonial Sitting Area
One of the first sight that greets you as you walk into the studio space is the lush tropical greenery and inviting wooden daybed. Plush cushions, exotic rug and soft sunlight makes it a very inviting space to chill and relax. It is one of our most popular sitting, great for Family Pictures as well as Personal Branding Images.
#2 White Curtain Photography
For toddlers or young children who doesn’t like to be sitting still for photos, one of our equally popular sitting is the White Curtain! Our curtains are crafted from photography muslin, allowing for soft creamy sunlight to light up your photographs. Playing Peek-A-Boo among the fabric has proven to be a hit with our young ones, resulting in some amazingly candid pictures!
#3 Rustic Wooden Floorboards
Genuine vintage timber wooden floor makes for really lovely photographs. The warm tone of it compliments all skin tones, plus there’s something very classic and timeless about it. Mostly shot with natural light, the catchlights (light source that causes a specular highlight in a subject’s eye) really draws attention to the eyes. Lovely.

Our full French-style windows makes for beautiful photography, be it a Family Portraits or a Professional Corporate Headshot. All photographs are shot with a mixture of sunlight & studio lighting, hence resulting in stunningly soft yet clear images.

Inspired by the grand palaces and art museums of the western world, our walls are decorated with contemporary french style wall beadings. Romantic, and grand, this style of interior decorating adds a vintage flair and is very popular with a lot of high-end fashion boutiques as well!
#6 Classic Fine-Art warm Studio backdrop
No photography studio is complete without a classic studio backdrop. We use the highest quality of studio paper available. A contemporary grey suitable for all skin tones and mood, a variation of different post-processing colouring is applied to bring it to enhance your photographs.
#7 Full Natural Greenery
Oh Dear Studio is in a colonial shophouse blessed with ample of natural light all year-round. Not only that, we have our own private open rooftop, and that enables us to capture very natural outdoor looking pictures right at the comfort of an indoor studio! Different angles brings us different mood and feel and changes the entire picture.
Do note photoshoot at roof-top is weather permitting though, and suggested timing are either 8am – 10am or 5PM – 6PM.

Our private open rooftop is a wide 360degree, apart from greenery, there are plenty of other angles for us to work and play around with. Beautiful cityscapes, warm creamy sunlight as well as rustic roof that makes for really unique photographs!

Our seasonal theme shoots are very popular! All props and backdrops are carefully sourced and designed by Melody herself. Beary Merry Christmas was our 2020 Xmas theme photoshoot which is a hit with young families!
Currently we are having a Peranakan CNY setting to welcome year 2021!
