SIA Engineering, Air India Engineering ink deal for MRO services

Both will offer services to airports in India.

SIA Engineering (SIAEC) and Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in India.

According to a press release, the two firms will offer line maintenance, ancillary services, and engineering training in airports in India. Both will offer services to both domestic and foreign airlines in the country.

The collaboration will play on AIESL's infrastructure and resources in India and SIAEC's MRO offerings including capabilities for new-generation aircraft.

SIAEC chief executive officer Png Kim Chiang said, "SIAEC is delighted to enter into this collaboration with AIESL to expand into the India market. This collaboration will allow SIAEC to offer our integrated MRO and Technical Support solutions to airline customers."

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
