It will be fitted with 471 seats and SIA's new products.

Singapore Airlines’ (SIA) first Airbus A380 aircraft out of five arrived in Singapore from the Airbus Delivery Centre in Toulouse.

According to a press release, SIA's new A380s will be fitted with 471 seats in four classes, with six in Suites, 78 in business class, 44 in premium economy class and 343 in economy class.

The new products will initially be fitted to the five new aircraft being acquired from Airbus, after which retrofit work will begin on 14 aircraft that are already in service.

The A380 delivered today will commence scheduled service between Singapore and Sydney on 18 December as flight SQ221.

In addition to Sydney, the Airline’s A380s serve Auckland, Beijing, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Melbourne, Mumbai, New Delhi, New York, Paris, Shanghai and Zurich.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
