IWG brings OpenOffice brand to Southeast Asia with Singapore debut

The brand had previously operated only in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong.

International Workplace Group (IWG) has opened two new flexible workspaces in Singapore, OpenOffice Fortune Centre and HQ Liang Seah, marking the debut of its OpenOffice and HQ brands in the market.

OpenOffice Fortune Centre, located in the 20-storey Fortune Centre in Singapore's Bras Basah-Bugis precinct, offers 17 workstations, five private offices, and a meeting room. The centre marks OpenOffice's first entry into Southeast Asia, having previously operated only in Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong.

HQ Liang Seah, located in a traditional shophouse at 1 Liang Seah Street in Bugis, offers 70 workstations, 18 private offices, and three meeting rooms.

The two openings bring IWG's Singapore portfolio to 25 centres across six brands — Regus, Signature, Spaces, No.18, OpenOffice, and HQ.

"The opening of OpenOffice Fortune Centre and HQ Liang Seah reflects our commitment to bringing more brands to Singapore as demand for flexible workspace solutions continues to grow," said Vijayakumar Tangarasan, country head for Singapore, Malaysia, and Brunei of IWG.

Globally, IWG signed a record 728 new locations in H1 2026, bringing its total network to over 6,000 signed locations across more than 120 countries.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
