Keppel REIT designates a new chief financial officer

Sebastian Song offers two decades of experience in finance and audit.

Former EY senior audit manager is appointed as Keppel REIT’s new chief financial officer (CFO), succeeding Kang Leng Hui, who will step down on 27 October 2023.

In a bourse filing, the REIT’s manager said Song’s new designation will take effect on 30 October 2023. He has more than 18 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation, taxation,
compliance and audit.

He first joined the company in 2015, where he served as the financial controller until 2020. His responsibilities include group reporting and taxation, financial accounting, compliance, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting.

Before his post at Keppel REIT, he was a Senior Audit Manager with “Ernst & Young LLP, where he was involved in the audit of Singapore-listed corporations and multinational companies across various industries including real estate, construction and shipping, as well as initial public offerings.”

Koh Wee Lih, Chief Executive Officer of the Manager, said Song, as an invaluable member of the team and deep knowledge and experience in the REIT will augment the strong foundations of the company, which aims to generate stable income and long-term total return to its unitholders.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
