Singapore deepens economic ties with Brabant, Netherlands

The partners will explore tech, energy, healthcare, and energy solutions.

The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Brabant Development Agency (BOM) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to boost economic relations between Singapore and Brabant, the Netherlands.

Under the partnership, EDB and BOM will work with companies and key partners in both locations to facilitate knowledge and policy exchanges, talent development initiatives, and joint research opportunities.

The partners will collaborate in key areas including deeptech, digital technologies, climate-neutral energy solutions, healthcare, and sustainable food systems.

EDB and BOM will also establish platforms with academia, industry, and investors to foster innovation and cross-border learning between Singapore and the Netherlands.

"Singapore and the Netherlands are celebrating 60 years of trade relations. This MOU strengthens this relationship and offers a unique perspective on a common development of futureproof and game-changing industries and technique[s],” Daan de Cloe, managing director of foreign investments and international trade at BOM, said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
