SMU arm, TechFin to launch Web 3.0 programme to address fintech talent gap

They will roll out the programme at the end of January.

Singapore Management University’s (SMU) professional training arm, SMU Academy, and TechFin Consulting (TechFin) will launch a  12-day Advanced Certificate in Web 3.0 programme at the end of the month to address the demand for fintech talent in Singapore.

Participants of the Advanced Certificate course will receive an extensive introduction and overview of Web 3.0, allowing them to understand and appreciate the concepts behind widely used buzzwords.

The curriculum will cover the Metaverse and the opportunities it offers; Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO); and how technology can empower SMEs, startups and brands.

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a digital Advanced Certificate in Web 3.0 issued by SMU. The fees for the Advanced Certificate in Web 3.0 range from $1,488.

As part of the SkillsFuture Singapore Programme, the programme is eligible for SSG Funding and Singapore Citizens can utilise their Skillsfuture Credits and PSEA.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
