Restaurants remained the only segment to post a decline, down 2.4%.

Singapore’s food and beverage (F&B) services sector saw a modest yet broad-based uptick in July 2025, with total sales reaching $1.0b, according to the Department of Statistics.

Food Caterers led year-on-year growth with a sharp 14.7% surge. Fast Food Outlets also performed well, with a 4.8% increase. Cafes, Food Courts & Other Eating Places edged up by 0.5%.

Meanwhile, Restaurants remained the only segment to post a decline, slipping 2.4% compared to July 2024.

On a monthly basis, Fast Food Outlets rose 2.4%, whilst Restaurants grew 1.9%, showing a recovery from previous softness. Sales at Cafes, Food Courts & Other Eating Places and Food Caterers also ticked up 0.9% and 0.2% respectively.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
