Super Hi reverses net loss in Q1 2025

The company reported a net profit of $15.2m.

Super Hi reported a 5.4% year-on-year (YoY) revenue increase in Q1 2025 to $253.2m (US$197.8m) from $240.1m (US$187.6m) in Q1 2024.

Profit for the period was $15.2m (US$11.9m), compared to a loss of $5.8m (US$4.5m) a year ago. This was due to a $26.1m (US$20.4m) reduction in net foreign exchange loss from currency revaluation, partly offset by lower income from operations.

Earnings per share stood at $0.03 (US$0.002), compared to a loss per share of $0.01 (US$0.001) in Q1 2024.

Revenue from Haidilao restaurant operations rose 4.5% YoY to $241.2m (US$188.4m), mainly driven by ongoing business expansion, increased brand influence, and continuous efforts to increase guest visits.

Revenue from its delivery business surged 37.9% YoY to $5.1m (US$4.0m), supported by sustained investment, marketing efforts, and the expansion of its delivery network alongside growing restaurant coverage.

Meanwhile, revenue from other business climbed 22.7% YoY to $6.9m (US$5.4m), driven by the increasing popularity of hot pot condiment products, Haidilao-branded goods, and the incubation of secondary branded restaurants under its Pomegranate Plan.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
