Frasers Property shareholders back hospitality assets optimisation

The approval gives Frasers full ownership of Fraser Suites Singapore and enables Valley Point redevelopment.

Frasers Property Limited’s shareholders have approved the proposed optimisation of the company’s hospitality assets under Frasers Hospitality Trust.

In a statement, the company said the Ordinary Resolution was approved by 99.07 % of the total number of votes cast by shareholders entitled to vote. The approval enables the Group to move forward with the next phase of its hospitality strategy following the privatisation of Frasers Hospitality Trust in October 2025.

“The transaction unlocks capital from mature assets, enhances the group’s financial flexibility and gives us full ownership of Fraser Suites Singapore, facilitating the redevelopment of the wider Valley Point site,” said Loo Choo Leong, group CFO of Frasers Property.

The company said it will now work towards implementation of the proposed portfolio optimisation, which includes the receipt of the necessary regulatory and third -party approvals.

The transaction is expected to complete by the end of fiscal year 2026, subject to satisfaction of the conditions under the Proposed Agreements.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
