ACRA, SID to open registration for two-phase director training in October

The CDF programme comprises six free and four paid modules.

The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) will launch a two-phase expanded training programme for company directors, with registration opening in October.

The Company Director Fundamentals (CDF) programme is split into CDF 101, comprising six complimentary modules, and CDF 201, consisting of four paid modules.

CDF 101 will cover directors’ core legal, fiduciary and corporate governance responsibilities.

Meanwhile, the second phase will focus on more advanced areas related to board responsibilities, organisational resilience, and business performance.

The modules will be delivered in a bite-sized, self-paced format. Those who complete all ten will receive a Certificate of Completion from both ACRA and SID.

The two organisations signed a memorandum of understanding to develop the training. The programme was announced by Second Minister for Finance Indranee Rajah at the SID Directors Conference 2026.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
