Nearly 6 in 10 Singaporeans rate employers as ‘average’ in upholding values

The majority of workers find the values of the company as important.

If they could rate their employers in promoting values, more than half or 57% of workers in the Lion City said their bosses are doing an “average job,” a Milieu Insight research showed.

More than three in 10 workers said their companies are doing a good job in upholding values whilst 8% are doing a bad job.

For workers in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines, 51% of them said their companies are doing an average job at upholding positive values, 44% are saying firms are doing a good job, and 5% said their firms are doing a bad job.

Another finding from the report is that more than 40% of Singaporeans also said values at a company they work for is important, 16% said it is very important, whilst only 33% are somewhat important.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
