SkillsFuture launches refreshed digital skills for SME growth

It focuses on automation, cybersecurity, data analytics, and in-demand digital tools.

Minister for Education Chan Chun Sing launched a series of digital skills training activities during the SkillsFuture Festival 2023 to help businesses keep up with evolving digital needs.

In a government-issued statement, the festival includes SSG and Generation Singapore co-issuing a SkillsFuture Job-Skills Insights publication to highlight mid-career transition possibilities into the Digital Economy.

There were a series of masterclasses that introduces businesses and individuals in using ChatGPT as a tool for productivity improvement.

SSG is also partnered with Amazon Web Services to run a three-day roadshow on cloud technology, and the related jobs and skills.

The SMEs can also better manage their skills development using digital tools by tapping the Skills Profiling.

“SMEs can use this service to identify skills gaps and follow up on recommended skills training,” read the statement.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
