Temasek Holdings announces new board appointments

Appointments were made effective on 1 January.

Temasek Holdings announced that Jim Hagemann Snabe and Ong Pang Thye joined its Board of Directors on 1 January to provide overall strategic guidance to the management.

“Jim’s leadership in innovation and digitisation, combined with Pang Thye’s deep domain expertise in navigating risk and governance issues, will complement the Board and help Temasek in achieving its portfolio and institutional priorities,” said Lim Boon Heng, chairman of Temasek Holdings.

Snabe is Chair of the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG, a Board Member at C3.ai, and a member of the Board of Trustees at the World Economic Forum.

He is also an advisor at Deutsche Bank AG and was previously Chair of A.P. Moller Maersk and Vice Chair of Allianz SE.

Snabe has also been a member of the Temasek European Advisory Panel since 2018.

Meanwhile, Ong previously served as a managing partner of KPMG in Singapore from 2016 to 2023 and a board member of KPMG International Limited.

Before this, he was previously the Head of Audit Practice in Singapore and was KPMG’s Head of Accounting Advisory Services for KPMG in Asia Pacific.

Ong currently sits as Vice Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation and on the board of SP Group.

He is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee for the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Home Team Science and Technology Agency and a member of the Business School Management Advisory Board of the National University of Singapore.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
