EASB goes beyond the basic curricula

In an increasingly competitive society, the importance of education cannot be neglected. At the East Asia Institute of Management (EASB), students have a choice of a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the areas of Hospitality & Tourism, Business & Management, Casino and Events, Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Supply Chain Management, Psychology, Marketing, Human Resource and Nursing.

Besides those, the institution also conducts a series of Professional Development courses as both public and in-company workshops and seminars in conjunction with the National Management Association, USA, and Louis Allen Worldwide. EASB has attained the prestigious CaseTrust Certifi cation and the Singapore Quality Class for Private Education Organisations (SQC-PEO) certification since 2003. It is now gearing itself for Edutrust Certification.

To differentiate from competitors, EASB offers quality and distinct programmes. Under the post-graduate studies umbrella, EASB offers postgraduate degree programmes from Heriot-Watt University – Edinburgh Business School (UK); Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh (UK); University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UK); and University of Southern Queensland (Australia).

EASB is also the only private education institute in Singapore to offer the EBS postgraduate programmes where students still enjoy the support of distance learning.

The USQ-Doctoral of Professional Studies is also the only accredited workplace-based learning degree offered in Singapore.

EASB aims to nurture individuals with the goal of attaining top-level management positions in organisations. The programmes are developed to deliver curricula beyond the basic of management thinking, towards orientating graduates with a high sense of professional integrity, equipping them to view organisational issues and societal challenges from a strategic, corporate level perspective.

EASB aims to ultimately produce competent and able individuals who can contribute significantly to national economic development as highly skilled managers and professionals.

As the world becomes more competitive with increased demands for highly educated personnel, EASB is moving well with times in developing a better equipped and more productive labour force in the market.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
