CIOs prioritise digital infrastructure for sustainability goals

Nearly 99% of CIOs say they have intelligent digital infrastructure in place.

Chief Information Officers (CIOs) in Singapore are slightly behind in addressing environmental issues, with only 25% having a multi-year environmental strategy in place, according to Colt Technology Services.

Meanwhile, the report also found that half of Singapore CIOs expect digital infrastructure spending to increase by up to 20% in 2025.

Notably, 98.57% say they have intelligent digital infrastructure in place, reflecting a broader trend of integrating such systems to enhance operational efficiency and support sustainability goals.

Currently, 48% of Singaporean CIOs believe the tech industry is making the right level of effort to drive sustainable growth—higher than in other leading digital economies like Hong Kong (27.33%) and the UK (36.67%).

In addition, more than 47% of CIOs in Singapore say their digital infrastructure provider has a positive approach to environmental governance, compared to 41% in Hong Kong and 35% in the UK.

On behalf of Colt Technology Services, Censuswide surveyed over 1,500 IT decision-makers aged 18 and above from the UK, USA, Italy, France, Germany, The UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Benelux between 19 July 2024 and 5 August 2024.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
