Here’s why other Gen Zs steer clear from metaverse

Some Gen Zs said joining the platform is too expensive.

Gen Zs are also considered as the Metaverse generation as the majority of them are composed of the platform's users worldwide. But, a study from Yahoo, showed that some Gen Zs are not using the platform due to some barriers.

Study showed that the generation is having a concern on high costs. Followed by privacy issues and feeling insecure about others.

The Singapore Metaverse generation considers gaming as an important aspect for the metaverse.

Findings showed that 54% of Millennials and 53% of Gen Z in Singapore have already experienced virtual gaming and played immersive open-world video games, such as Minecraft, Roblox, Sandbox, and Fortnite.

The survey polled over 15,000 consumers aged 13-65, with at least 1,000 samples per market, across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
