Etiqa ties travel insurance rewards to repeat spending

Eligible flight delays of at least three consecutive hours can trigger automatic claims payouts.

Etiqa Insurance Singapore has launched a rewards programme that links travel insurance spending to tiered benefits, as it seeks to encourage customers to use its Tiq Travel Insurance products across multiple trips.

The Travel Pass programme gives customers rewards based on their eligible premium spending, with membership starting at Bronze after $78.4 (S$100) in spending and progressing to Silver, Gold and Platinum at higher spending levels.

Benefits range from free global eSIM data and Etiqa Rewards Points multipliers to transport vouchers and partner deals. Gold and Platinum members also receive a free Personal Accident Plan, whilst Platinum members can receive No Claims Cashback.

Platinum membership requires at least $783.8 (S$1,000) in eligible premium spending and includes 5GB of free global eSIM data, a 2.5x multiplier on Etiqa Rewards Points, $47 (S$60) in transport vouchers, partner deals, a free Personal Accident Plan and No Claims Cashback.

Claudia Soh, CEO of Etiqa Insurance Singapore, said the programme is intended to extend the role of travel insurance beyond individual trips.

Tiq Travel Insurance provides automatic claims payouts for eligible flight delays of three consecutive hours or more, whilst optional cover includes sports equipment protection and pre-existing medical conditions.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
