Popiah King Sam Goi's son named PSC Corp CEO

Goi Kok Ming transitions from a non-executive role to lead group operations.

PSC Corporation Ltd. has appointed Goi Kok Ming as CEO, re-designating him as executive director, effective 5 May.

The board approved the move following a recommendation from its nominating committee, which assessed his qualifications, experience, and familiarity with the group’s operations, according to a bourse filing on 9 April.

He is the son of the company’s executive chairman and substantial shareholder, Goi Seng Hui, known as the ‘Popiah King’.

In his new role, he will oversee the company’s overall business activities, including planning, directing, and controlling operations, as well as executing group strategy and objectives.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from California State University, Pomona.

His past roles include chief operating officer and executive director at GSH Corporation Limited, as well as directorships in several listed and private companies.

Goi currently serves as a non-executive and non-independent director of the company.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
