Nutek designs the future

Amongst the multinational companies flourishing in the printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) industry, a Singapore-based firm stands out. Nutek Pte. Ltd. is highly regarded for its world-class quality PCB handling equipment, barcode labeling cells, laser marking systems, original equipment manufacturing (OEM) specialising in soldering systems and automatic optical inspection (AOI) machines, and original design manufacturing (ODM).

Founded in 1989 by its current Chairman Yong Choon, Nutek’s business has grown steadily over the past 20 years. It has gained a reputation for conceptualising, designing and manufacturing automated production systems that are reliable, innovative, and tailor-made to client specifications. Today the Nutek brand stands for quality, efficient products that exceed customer requirements. To constantly improve its services in the midst of fast technological advances, Nutek constantly upgrades its employees’ technical skills through in-house and vendor-sponsored training as well as external professional courses.

The company has developed programmes to enhance the health and welfare of its workforce, thereby becoming an attractive employer within its jurisdictions in Singapore, Europe, the Americas, Australia, New Zealand and China.“The relatively low staff turnover contributed to our high efficiency, capability and productivity,” says Mr. Yong.

Recently, Nutek was awarded the ISO 14000 after complying with ISO standards on proper storage and disposal of hazardous material, proper work safety measures employed, and proper documentation on environmental procedures. This has bolstered its image as a responsible and environmentally friendly company. Mr. Yong believes India and China represent promising business volumes for Nutek in the future. The company maintains offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai (Nutek China Ltd.); Colorado, USA (Nutek Americas Inc.); and the Benelux (Nutek Europe). It also has an OEM business with Tamura Machinery Singapore and an exclusive distributorship agreement with Hawker Richardson Pty. Ltd. of Australia & New Zealand.

Nutek has maintained its position as a global leader in the PCBA industry because of its strong dedication to making top-quality, innovative products that help customers operate more effectively and efficiently.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
