Istana Partners to invest up to $25.3m in SME AI push

The firm has also partnered with BeLive Technology to deploy its solutions.

Private equity firm Istana Partners plans to invest up to $25.43m (US$20m) to support artificial intelligence (AI) adoption and workforce upskilling in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

As part of the initiative, the group is partnering with NASDAQ-listed BeLive Technology, which will provide AI and commerce enablement solutions.

Moreover, BeLive Technology will provide AI and commerce enablement solutions, whilst the equity firm will lead board-level strategy.

“The rapid acceleration of AI is fundamentally reshaping how businesses compete. Cost-cutting and financial leverage alone are no longer enough in today’s market,” said Bennett Lee, CEO and Founder of Istana Partners.

Lee added that the next phase of private equity will focus on co-driving digital transformation alongside management and building sustainable growth models.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
