Cinnabon announces Singapore exit

It will close its last store in ION Orchard.

Cinnabon has announced that it will be closing its last store in Singapore, marking its exit from the country.

According to its social media post, its last store at ION Orchard will be open until 22 September 2026.

Cinnabon previously had a presence in Singapore before closing in 2002. It then reopened to try the market again in 2023, when it first opened at Raffles City Shopping Centre, followed by ION Orchard in September that year. It then opened a third store in Jewel Changi Airport in 2024.

Both Raffles City Shopping Centre and Jewel Changi Airport stores have closed earlier this year.

The closure comes as food and beverage services sales declined 1.9% in July, with food courts and other eating places recording the largest annual decline at 6.6%, whilst cafe sales fell 6.4%.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
