Sing Lun CEO Mark Lee named SBF chairman through 2028

He was elected by the 13th council formed after the 24th AGM.

Sing Lun Industrial Pte Ltd CEO Mark Lee has been named chairman of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) for the 2026 to 2028 term.

Lee was elected by the 13th council, which was formed after the federation’s 24th annual general meeting on 24 June.

Lee pointed out that businesses are facing geopolitical tensions, rapid advances in artificial intelligence, and shifting trade patterns. “As Chairman of SBF, my priority is to ensure that businesses remain competitive, resilient and future-ready.”

The SBF outlined key focus areas such as shaping Budget 2027 recommendations, strengthening regional partnerships, expanding business support services, and helping companies build capabilities.

“We will work closely with businesses, government and industry partners to develop practical solutions, foster a pro-enterprise environment and help companies build the capabilities needed to innovate, internationalise and grow with confidence,” he added.

Meanwhile, Lee noted that Singapore’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027 presents an opportunity to deepen regional economic integration.

The new council comprises 12 elected members, one co-opted member, and 11 representatives from trade associations and chambers, bringing the total to 24 council members.

It includes six new appointees, comprising three newly elected representatives and three trade association and chamber leaders.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
