HDB resale price falls 0.2% in Q3
About 7,528 resale transactions were recorded as of 29 September.
HDB resale flat prices fell for the third consecutive quarter in the third quarter of 2026.
The Resale Price Index (RPI) stood at 202.4 in Q3, following declines of 0.1% in Q1 and 0.3% in Q2.
Resale transactions remained stable, with 7,528 transactions recorded as of 29 September. This was 5.2% higher than the 7,157 transactions recorded over the same period last year.
HDB said it has not seen a significant increase in the prices or number of resale flats purchased by private residential property owners and former private residential property owners since the 15-month wait-out period was removed on 28 July 2026.
HDB will launch about 7,960 flats in Bedok, Geylang, Sembawang, Tengah, Toa Payoh and Yishun in the November 2026 Build-To-Order exercise. Community Care Apartments will also be offered in Toa Payoh.
HDB said the macroeconomic outlook remains uncertain, including global and domestic interest rates, and advised households to exercise prudence when buying property and taking out mortgages.
