Revenue slump drives Mooreast into $2.8m loss in H1

Loss per share stood at $0.0109.

Mooreast Holdings reported a net loss after tax of $2.8m for the six months ended 30 June 2026, reversing a $3.5m net profit a year earlier.

The group’s revenue fell 51% year on year to $12.3m from $25.2m due to lower contributions across all business divisions and project delivery timing.

However, gross profit margin rose to 48% during the period, on improved cost management and project mix, though gross profit itself fell to $5.9m from $10.9m on the lower revenue base.

Loss per share was $0.0109, versus earnings per share of $0.0137 in H1 2025.

Mooreast expects second-half revenue to improve as scheduled projects complete, though near-term earnings will be weighed down by start-up costs at 60 Shipyard Crescent ahead of its operational launch.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
