Telco firm hit by highest rate of complaints for broadband services

It garnered the highest complaint rate from August to September 2022.

A well-known telecommunications firm posted the highest complaint rates from August 2022 to September 2022, data from Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) showed.

Starhub had 8.76 and 5.09 complaint rates in August 2022 and September 2022, respectively. The number of complaint rates were per 10,000 subscribers, said IMDA.

This was followed by ViewQwest with 0.70 each in both months and MyRepublic with 0.31 in August and 0.20 in September.

Despite the high rate of complaints, Starhub was able to resolve 94% of complaints in zero to five days in August. The resolve rate increased by one percentage point in September.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
