ComfortDelGro posts 19.7% H1 profit decline on weaker P2P earnings

The interim dividend remained at $0.0391 per share.

ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited’s profit after tax and minority interests (PATMI) fell 19.7% year on year (YoY) to $85.1m for the six months (H1) ended 30 June 2026, despite a 5.7% increase in revenue to $2.56b.

The revenue increase was driven mainly by the group’s overseas public transport operations.

Revenue from the public transport segment rose to $1.72b, helped by contractual indexation, renewed bus contracts in London, and new contracts in Victoria, Australia.

The segment accounted for about 67% of group revenue in H1.

Its operating profit increased to $79.7m, mainly due to higher margins from its London bus contracts.

However, stronger public transport earnings were offset by weaker results from the group’s point-to-point businesses.

Operating profit from the taxi and private hire segment fell to $35.5m amidst continued competitive pressure.

The board declared an interim dividend of $0.0391 per share, unchanged from a year earlier.

Based on the current share price, the dividend implies an annualised yield of about 5.8%.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
