SingPost operating profit jumps 55% to $4.1m in Q1 FY26/27

Expenses fell 2.4% even as revenue slipped 0.9%.

Singapore Post Limited’s (SingPost) operating profit rose 55.2% year-on-year to $4.1m in the first quarter of FY26/27 as lower expenses offset a decline in revenue.

Revenue slipped 0.9% to $93.4m, whilst operating expenses decreased 2.4% to $89.3mm, according to a bourse filing.

Operating margin improved to 4.4% from 2.8% a year earlier.

The company attributed the decline in expenses to lower labour-related costs as it continued to streamline operations.

Higher fuel costs during the quarter were partly offset by route optimisation, fleet electrification, and electricity cost hedging, it added.

Within its Logistics & Letters business, domestic parcel volume increased 36.5% to 7.1 million items. Domestic mail volume fell 16.2% to 67.3 million items.

International mail volume dropped 45.1% to 189,700 kilograms (kg), whilst international parcel volume declined 11.2% to 733,200 kg.

SingPost Centre reached 100% committed occupancy as of 30 June, with both its retail and office spaces fully committed.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
