8 in 10 Singaporeans would rebook an airline offering quality inflight WiFi

They value connectivity when flying.

Airlines seeking to attract more Singaporean passengers may want to look into improving their inflight Wi-Fi as 74% of them value connectivity when flying.

According to a survey by  Inmarsat Aviation, 81% of  Singaporean travellers would also rebook an airline based on quality inflight Wi-Fi experiences.

Whilst most Singaporean passengers (83%) connect to inflight Wi-Fi, 51% will not do so if it costs money.

The survey said passengers connect to inflight WiFi to work (43%) while in the air, whislt others just want to entertain themselves (49%) or check the airline app (39%).

“Passenger demand for fast and reliable Wi-Fi has never been higher, so providing access to such services is essential for airlines. This also serves as the foundation to enhance the overall onboard experience through digitalisation, which our survey results indicate will not only be embraced by passengers, helping to drive their future brand loyalty but also unlocks even greater revenue generation opportunities for airlines across the Asia Pacific,” said Inmarsat Aviation's Asia Pacific Regional Vice President, David Coiley.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
