CSC secures $60mn deals

Contracts for residential, infrastructure, residential and institutional projects boosted the Group’s order book to $240mn.

Following the announcement made on 6 September 2011, mainboard-listed foundation specialist CSC Holdings Limited (“CSC”) has secured another $60 million worth of foundation and geotechnical engineering contracts. These contracts raise the aggregate value of contracts secured since April 2011 to over $220 million.

The contracts secured include work on infrastructure projects as well as residential, industrial and institutional projects in Singapore and Malaysia.

For Infrastructure projects, CSC inked another two Downtown Line 3 Mass Rapid Transit (“MRT”) projects at Tampines Central MRT station; and Bedok Reservoir MRT station.

CSC also got contracts for euHabitat which includes SOHO, townhouses, condominiums and suites located off Jalan Eunos; a 108 unit luxury condominium called The Viridian located at Jalan Ampas; and a condominium project in Bandar Sri Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia for its residential projects, according to a CSC report.

The Industrial contracts that the Group won include works for new storage facilities at Chemical Hub in Banyan Place, Jurong Island.

Lastly, the Group bagged the deal for foundation works for the construction of Singapore’s fourth university, Singapore University of Technology and Design developed in collaboration with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Zhejiang University.

These latest contracts brings CSC’s order book to approximately $240 million (6 September 2011: $210 million) and should contribute positively to the Group’s financial performance for the next three quarters.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
