MAS named third EQDP batch with $1.45b allocated

MAS has allocated $5.4b so far across 14 asset managers.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has appointed the third batch of asset managers under the $6.5b Equity Market Development Programme (EQDP).

The five asset managers will share a $1.45b allocation from MAS. Together with earlier EQDP appointments in July and November 2025, total allocations under the programme amount to $5.4b across 14 asset managers.

Amundi, Franklin Templeton, HSBC Asset Managers, M&G Investments, and Natixis Investment Managers form the third batch of the programme, according to a MAS statement on 29 September 2026.

The managers are expected to bring in new sources of international capital seeking exposure to Singapore and the region, with the goal of broadening investor participation in Singapore’s equities market, MAS said.

MAS is reviewing the proposals for a fourth batch of asset managers and expects to complete the review in 2027.

MAS first announced the $5b EQDP in 2025 and expanded it to $6.5b in February 2026.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
