SP named founding training partner for TIA-Ready framework

It has also partnered with organisations in the manufacturing and robotics sectors.

Singapore Polytechnic (SP) has been appointed the founding training partner for AutomationSG’s Trusted Industrial AI-Ready (TIA-Ready) Framework to support companies deploying artificial intelligence (AI) in key sectors.

The framework covers adoption in industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing and operational technology, helping firms assess risks and establish governance for the use of AI.

A steering committee will oversee the development of the framework, whilst AutomationSG, SP, and other partners will support training, pilot implementation, and organisational readiness.

SP said it has supported TIA-Ready’s development by engaging two small and medium-sized enterprises, JM Vistec, and CADVision Systems, to test its structure and practical application in AI-related business operations.

The announcement was made at the third Automation SolutionGO! x Regional Industry Networking Conference 2026 at the SP Convention Centre.

Separately, the polytechnic has formalised partnerships with organisations from the manufacturing, semiconductor, aviation, robotics and education sectors.

These include Dassault Systèmes, CADVision Systems, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation, GlobalFoundries, SMC Corporation Singapore, Women in Aviation Singapore Chapter, Stolz Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Advantech, and GloboAI Robotics.

SP said the partnerships will provide students, staff and adult learners with industry attachments, internships, and exposure to technologies such as agentic AI.

They will also support enterprise capability development and regional projects linked to the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

If you've been wondering whether SBR could work for your company — yes, probably.

A lot of the companies we partner with started as readers. They'd been following our coverage for a while, saw their own customers and competitors in it, and eventually asked the obvious question: could we do something with you? The answer is usually yes. The shape of it depends on what you're trying to do.

The options are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. Some partners use one channel; most use a mix. We figure out the right combination by starting with your brief, not with our rate card.

So if the question has been on your mind, here's the easy way to ask it.

We'll tell you honestly whether we can help, and how. It's a better use of everyone's time.
