Anthropic offers AI policy expertise in Singapore pact

It includes model testing standards and incident response.

Anthropic has signed a pact with the Ministry of Digital Development and Information to collaborate on artificial intelligence (AI) safety, model testing, and responsible adoption.

Planned initiatives include technical exchanges with Singapore’s AI safety and security institutions on model testing standards and incident response, Anthropic said.

Anthropic will also share research, including findings from its economic index, and provide technical and policy expertise as Singapore develops its AI rules.

Anthropic said it aims to help small and medium-sized businesses adopt AI responsibly and support the government’s goal of building AI capability amongst public officers.

The agreement builds on collaboration dating to 2023, when Anthropic joined a generative AI evaluation sandbox run by the Infocomm Media Development Authority and AI Verify Foundation.

Anthropic has also opened a Singapore office, its fifth in Asia-Pacific, citing growing demand for its Claude AI tools.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
