CSE Global’s Q1 2025 new orders reach $155.3m

The majority of the new orders came from the communications business segment.

CSE Global secured $155.3m in new orders in Q1 2025, down 11.3% year-on-year (YoY) from $175m in Q1 2024.

The communications business segment secured $63.7m in new orders in 1Q2025, accounting for approximately 41.0% of the total order intake for the quarter.

CSE Global attributed this 20.4% YoY growth in orders to a substation radio communication enhancement project secured in the Asia Pacific region and orders from recent acquisitions in the US.

Orders in the automation business segment rose 19.8% YoY to $55.6m, making up 23.2% of total order intake in Q1.

This growth was due to a large contract valued at approximately $13.1m for a chemical injection skid primarily used in the oil and gas industry in the US.

Meanwhile, the electrification business segment, which contributed 23.2% of the total order intake, declined 52.4% YoY to $36.1m in new orders.

The decline was due to lower orders from the municipal market following a shift to focus on the data center and utility markets.

These new orders brought the group’s order book to $616.0m at the end of Q1, down 14.4% YoY.

“We saw a steady stream of flow orders in 1Q2025, which will boost our recurring revenue base. We expect the healthy order intake momentum to continue in the coming quarters as we integrate our acquisitions and enhance our solutions,” Lim Boon Kheng, group managing director and CEO of CSE Global said.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

Reaching the people who run Asia's businesses is harder than it used to be.

Inboxes are crowded. Attention is short. The executives you most want to reach — the founders, CFOs, and operators who actually move budgets — are the hardest to find through the usual channels. If you're building a company, a category, or a reputation, you already know this.

We've spent twenty years building the room they read. Singapore Business Review is where senior decision makers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia come for business coverage they can't get elsewhere — in print, online, and in person at the summits and roundtables we host across seven markets.

If you have something these readers should know about — a point of view worth publishing, a product worth their attention, an event worth their time — we'd like to hear what you're trying to do.
