Greater Sentosa master plan moves forward with launch of first phase

The Singapore government has officially commenced the first phase of the Greater Sentosa Master Plan to rejuvenate the island and Pulau Brani.

Announced by Senior Minister of State Low Yen Ling, the phase focuses on upgrading connectivity and introducing new attractions to sustain the country’s tourism appeal.

Key infrastructure developments include the construction of a new transport hub linking Sentosa and Pulau Brani and the replacement of the Sentosa Express.

The plan also introduces the Imbiah Canopy, a new landmark atop Mount Imbiah designed to connect visitors to heritage buildings and nature trails.

The government will also rejuvenate Sentosa’s beaches and implement coastal protection measures to address rising sea levels.

The Sentosa redevelopment coincides with other national infrastructure refreshes, including a tender for a mixed-use development at 37 Emerald Hill and the completion of the 3,000-capacity Grange Road Event Space by late 2026.
